Ask on WhatsApp

What should my relative's invitation letter include?

It should state who they are, their immigration status, their address, your relationship to them, the exact dates and purpose of the visit, where you will stay, and who is paying. It should be signed and accompanied by evidence of their status and accommodation. We give your host a written brief so nothing is missed.

Does my relative need to sponsor me financially?

Not necessarily. You can fund the trip yourself, and in many cases that is stronger. If your relative is paying, their ability to do so must be evidenced with their own financial documents. We advise on which approach is better in your circumstances.

Why are family visit visas often refused?

Because officers weigh the pull of family abroad against your reasons to return. If your application does not clearly document your job, your business, your property or your dependants in Uganda, the officer is left to assume you might stay. Documenting your ties is the core of what we do on these applications.

Can I attend a funeral abroad at short notice?

Some destinations offer expedited processing in compassionate circumstances, though it is not guaranteed and not universal. Contact us immediately if this is your situation and we will tell you honestly what is possible in the time available.
