Choosing a destination: common questions
What travellers from Uganda ask before they decide where to apply.
Which country is easiest to get a visa for from Uganda?
There is no single easy destination, because the decision depends on your circumstances rather than the country alone. That said, the UAE and TΓΌrkiye have relatively quick electronic processes, while the UK, the US, Canada and the Schengen countries require more documentation and scrutiny. The honest answer for your case comes from looking at your own ties, finances and travel history.
Can I apply for visas to several countries at once?
You can, though it is rarely a good idea. Simultaneous applications can look like you are trying your luck, and a refusal from one country may have to be declared to another. We usually recommend deciding on a destination and preparing one strong application.
Does a previous refusal affect applications to other countries?
Often yes. Most application forms ask whether you have ever been refused a visa by any country, and answering dishonestly is far more damaging than the refusal itself. We help you disclose it correctly and explain the circumstances.
Do I need to apply in person in Kampala?
Most applications begin online, but nearly all destinations require you to attend a visa application centre or embassy in Kampala in person to submit documents and give biometrics. We tell you exactly where to go and what to bring.
