GO GLOBAL VISA & TRAVEL ("GO GLOBAL", "we", "us") provides visa application assistance and travel services from Kampala, Uganda. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we look after it and what rights you have. We handle personal information in line with Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.
What we collect
When you send us a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number, the destination you are asking about and the message you write.
When you complete the initial eligibility check, we also collect your destination, purpose of travel, passport country, planned travel month, employment situation, number of travellers, travel history and whether a visa application of yours has ever been refused.
If you later engage our services, we collect the further details and documents needed to prepare your application. We ask for these only once you have engaged us, and we explain how to send them securely.
Please do not send sensitive documents through our forms
Do not upload or send passports, bank statements, passwords, PINs, one-time passcodes (OTPs) or other sensitive documents through the contact form or the initial assessment form. Secure submission instructions will be provided if you engage our services. We will never ask you for a password, PIN or OTP.
Why we use your information
We use the information you give us to respond to your enquiry, to tell you whether we can assist and what the next step is, and, if you engage us, to provide the services you ask for. We rely on your consent to respond to your enquiry, which you give by ticking the consent box on our forms. Where you engage us, we also use your information to carry out our agreement with you and to meet our legal obligations.
Updates and marketing
We send visa and travel updates only if you tick the separate, optional box on our forms. You can withdraw that choice and unsubscribe at any time by telling us or using the unsubscribe option in our messages. Not ticking the box does not affect how we handle your enquiry. We do not sell your information to anyone.
Who we share it with
We share information with embassies, consulates and visa application centres only where it is necessary for your application and you have asked us to proceed. We use service providers for website hosting, email and file storage, who handle information on our behalf and are expected to keep it confidential and secure. We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Transfers outside Uganda
Embassies, visa application centres and some of our service providers are located outside Uganda. Where your information is sent abroad for your application or for our systems, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected.
How long we keep it
We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above and to meet our legal obligations. After that we delete it securely or make it anonymous. You may ask us to delete your information sooner, subject to those obligations.
How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of sending or storing information is completely secure, which is why we ask you not to send sensitive documents through our forms.
Your rights
You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it, withdraw your consent, and object to marketing. Contact us using the details on our contact page and we will respond within a reasonable period. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you may complain to Uganda's Personal Data Protection Office.
Cookies
This website uses only the cookies necessary for it to function and, where enabled, basic analytics to understand how visitors use the site. It does not use advertising cookies.
Applications for children
If an application is for a child, we ask the parent or legal guardian to give us the information and to agree to this policy on the child's behalf.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
